Just arrived - the first of what we hope to be many locally built surfboards. These were crafted by Matt Campbell at Black Box Surfboards. I'm stoked to finally be seeing some seriously thought out wave sliding hardware coming out of the Great Lakes.

This Sucks
After surfing the Great Lakes for ten years you pretty much know what to expect from the months of May and June - no surf.
This year hasn't dissapointed. Yet, the beautiful thing about surfing is that you know it will come, and when it does, it's gonna be good.

Double Paw Paddle
We teamed up with our friends at The Livery in Benton Harbor, Michigan for a day of paddling, barbequeing, and real ale drinking. The weather was beatiful and everyone had a great time. Here is a video clip from the paddle...
It was their "Irish Freakin' Firkin" Sunday and the place was hopping (no pun intended). Steve is hand crafting some incredible beers. What better way to end a paddle?
