The Great Lakes surfing community lost one of it's greatest ambassodors yesterday. Magilla Schaus, a lifetime resident of Buffalo, New York and incredible surfer, photographer, firefighter, friend, husband and father, passed away from cancer.
A stalwart in the eastern Lakes surfing community and beyond, Magilla started surfing on Lakes Erie and Ontario in the 1960's. His warmth and compassion spread to all who knew him, and his stoke for life, even while sick, will never be forgotten.
